Chemical Industries Education & Training Authority.

The Chemical Industries Education & Training Authority (CHIETA) is a statutory body established by the Skills Development Act (1998). The Chemical SETA was established to facilitate skills development in the chemical industries sector and ensure that skills needs are identified and addressed through a number of initiatives by the SETA and the sector. Vision World-class education and training for the chemical industries sector Mission CHIETA contributes to sustainable development through facilitating the provision of skills for growth in the chemical industries sector. The Supply Side Database is a web-based initiative that contains a pool of qualified learners and graduates seeking work integrated learning and employment. Is set out to encourage employers and stakeholders to contribute towards the achievement of the objectives of the Human Resources Development Strategy. The CHIETA would like to invite all accredited training providers for a range of short training initiatives to register their institution/Company. The CSD serves as one single source of supplier information to all spheres of government. Within this system, suppliers are required to register once when they do business with the state. The database interfaces with SARS, the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) and payroll system. It will electronically verify a supplier’s tax and BEE status, and enable public sector officials doing business with the state to be identified. These changes and disruptions make it particularly important to recognise top achievers in such a momentous year. These publications form part of CHIETA’s ongoing commitment to keep its stakeholders informed about the chemical industry’s achievements, challenges and targets. Situations at TTC and SDPs that can influence accreditation status. In an effort to certificate learners within acceptable timeframes, an accredited/approved provider is to submit to the CHIETA QAP (Quality Assurance Partner) completed and signed competency status forms together with a QALA (Quality Assurance of Learner Achievement) report. This submission is to be made within seven days after the QALA was conducted. DMU will forward the Learner file together with the Competency Status Report to the Certification Practitioner. Quality Assurance will be conducted on the printed certificate i.e. The Assistant Certification Administrator collects the printed certificate, for the first level verification, and forwards these to the Certification Specialist for second level verification. The Certification Specialist, after verifying, forwards the learner file and the certificate to ETQA Manager for final approval. The certificate is/are returned back to the Certification Practitioner to affix holograms and preparation of acknowledgement letter. The Administrator makes copies of the signed certificates and hands the copies over to the DMU Supervisor for filing. The signed certificate get collected by the training provider or couriered to the provider and a proof of delivery is retained.
