TEKmation Training Institute strives to be a cut above the rest with innovative and relevant methods of service delivery. Our daily envisage is to provide learners with skills that will set them apart from the average engineer or artisan and create a platform for them to become individuals who will be recognised nationally and internationally. We strive to develop and transfer industry specific skills to students thus increasing their employability after completion of their programme and help them gain an understanding of the world of work and assist with their planning and pursuing their career pathways. The important part of this training process includes placing learners in industry for workplace training under the mentorship of skilled and qualified artisans for a period of time in their chosen programme. It was established and headed by two directors and a staff compilation of just two employees which has exponentially grown over the years. The main focus of the campus centred on the offering of one programme until there was a demand for scarce and growing skills in the industry. This allowed the institute to expand into a multi-focused college that currently offers a range of technological and academic programmes. TEKmation (PTY) LTD strives to be a cut above the rest with innovative and relevant methods of service delivery. The company boasts qualified facilitators, assessors and moderators in the respective fields ensuring that learners are mentored by subject matter experts with applicable knowledge and practical experience. In keeping with the best practices norms, we are continually modifying and incorporating the latest training methodology, technology and innovation to ensure our training conforms to the highest and most demanding quality assurance standards. TEKmation, being innovative has created a projects team that is responsible for design, development and manufacture of customised training solutions for the public and private sector. The team consists of skilled technicians, artisans and engineers that will collaborate with clients from the project initiation to closure stage. The project brief from the client was for TEKmation to retrofit a training centre to cater for the training of artisans in the Mechanical, Electrical, instrumentation, Welding and Boilermaking trade. TEKmation was also tasked to train in those trades. The training was conducted using South African training standards by skilled and qualified artisans who have many years of industrial experience and facilitation skills. This will be a fully fitted Vocational School for the trades. Apart from Apprenticeship and Learnerships training, skills training is also conducted for corporates and industry in the areas of: Safety Management, Process Control, Electrical Safety, Behavioural Safety, Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Instrumentation process Control for Artisan and for non-technical staff (Sales & Marketing) etc. Skills programmes are designed according to clients training needs.
