Piatto has during the coarse of the year been involved in projects with the Meals on Wheels Community Services in Gauteng. It humbles us here at Meals on Wheels to know that there are such wonderful people and organisations like you out there. The food was distributed to beneficiaries in the South of Johannesburg and the financial help we received with help us purchase the vegetables, chicken and items we need to cook for the underprivileged. The Meals on Wheels makeover team continues to make every month a Mandela month and we are hoping that soon it will be every day. Our team cooked for 1000 underprivileged individual’s. Our team was required to clean, peal, slice, dice and spice the food and then cook the meals. Once the meals were prepared, we packed the food into polystyrene dishes and deliver to those less fortunate. Piatto is an experience of service and quality with a focus on providing exceptional value for money in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Baked black mushroom topped with spinach, ricotta, feta and mozzarella in a napoletana sauce and baked in the pizza oven, served with crispy bread. Strips of beef or chicken pan-fried with garlic, onions, cream and prego sauce, served with crispy bread. Four prawns in a garlic butter sauce, topped with parmesan and baked in the pizza oven, served with crispy bread. Crumbed black mushrooms, deep fried topped with halloumi and bacon, drizzled with a cheese sauce. Chicken livers sautéed with onion, prepared with or without peri-peri, served with crispy bread. Camembert cheese, deep fried to perfection, topped with bacon, cranberry sauce and rocket. Crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, sautéed mushrooms, sliced avo and basil mayo, served in a wrap. Linguini napoletana with spinach and ricotta topped with mozzarella and parmesan, served with crispy bread. Strips of chicken breast tossed with mushrooms, feta, olives and zucchini prepared in napoletana sauce. Napoletana with mild peri-peri, sautéed livers, onion and a splash of cream topped with cream cheese and black pepper, served with crispy bread. Layered sheets of fresh pasta and bolognaise topped with a creamy sauce, mozzarella and baked in our pizza oven. Chicken fillet crumbed and fried, topped with cranberry sauce, slices of fresh camembert cheese and rocket. Oriental noodles prepared with marinated chicken strips, soya sauce, tahina, mixed stir-fry vegetables, cashew nuts, pineapple, sesame seeds and ginger with a hint of chilli and garlic.
