The Road to Durban 2022 Commonwealth Games: A stand alone 26 minute documentary that walks the public through the journey towards winning the bid to host the Commonwealth Games in Durban. We also produce stand-alone events, such as the Johannesburg Cricket Club Charity Match which featured some of the most prominent business leaders in South Africa as the CEO's from MultiChoice, First Rand Bank, Nando's, Zico Holdings and Primedia competed for the title. GELA Productions, founded by Sandile Magoso in 2007, has a highly qualified and experienced team from which to draw talent and expertise. We have a wide range of clients both Local and International. A specialist camera operator, Sandile has covered numerous international cricket, rugby, tennis and golf games. Travelled with the Proteas to England when they claimed the number one position in the world rankings for Test Cricket. Ashan has worked as Sound Recordist, Cameraman and Editor on for a wide variety of projects. While comfortable behind a camera as well as operating an edit suite, Ashan prefers to be directing the action. After graduating with a National Diploma in Video Technology at the Durban University of Technology in 2004 Dolly started as an intern at Ukhamba Productions, a small local production house where she involved in all areas of production. Needing to take the next step on her career path, Dolly left her Durban comfort zone and relocated to Johannesburg for a period of seven years. Working for companies such as Summit Television and Wildcam TV in diverse roles from camera operator (live studio as well as ENG) to Producer to Event Manager to Documentary Director, Dolly was able to collect a vast amount of experience. In 2011 Dolly returned to Durban in and now adds her unique skillset to the Gela Production team. Sbu’s strength lies in his humility and willingness to get stuck in wherever he is needed. His freelance services were in demand from a variety of companies where he worked as a runner, a production assistant and camera operator on a variety of productions from commercials, music videos, outside broadcasts to traditional ceremonies. Since joining Gela Productions as a production assistant he has swiftly climbed the ladder and now is an extremely capable camera operator and editor on a wide range of productions. Production assistant on numerous music videos for Mulatto Films in Linda is the latest member of the Gela Productions team, her attention to detail with regards to style and content adds enormous value in these areas. Anele has had extensive experience in the field, with a career spanning several years in the television industry. After graduating with a Certificate in Business Information System at UKZN and a Diploma in Sound Engineering at Damelin, Anele freelanced on a wide range of shows for a number of South African television broadcasters. Heath completed his internship with Supersport in 2007 then later started full time at the Outside Broadcast department. Extra classes at Wits night school and Vega Creative School have polished his knowledge in the areas of business and visual art. While he is comfortable working in the production department, he aspires to be a producer.
