Dirk holds a degree in Personnel Management from the University of the Orange Free State and a postgraduate diploma in Industrial Relations from the University of Witwatersrand’s Business School. With over 30 years of experience in the field of labour relations, he has chaired thousands of disciplinary and grievance hearings, covering the full spectrum of cases and representing employers in the CCMA and at Bargaining Councils. His knowledge and experience also allow him to offer practical and knowledgeable advice on all matters pertaining to the employment relationship, including employment contracts and performance management. He is experienced in alternative dispute resolution and collective bargaining and is an accredited mediator with Conflict Dynamics. He is also a regional organiser/official of the South Africa United Commercial and Allied Employers Organisation, a duly registered employers organisation. He is a member of the Durban Chamber of Commerce’s HR Committee and has been a member of this committee for over 20 years, keeping abreast with legislation changes and issues affecting the human resources field. Charmaine is a qualified and skilled HR Specialist, SETA accredited Facilitator and Workplace Assessor. She is also an official of the South Africa United Commercial and Allied Employers Organisation (SA UEO), a duly registered employers organisation. She is able to outline change management, talent management and performance management plans and processes. She offers a consulting service to management, chair hearings, grievances, and incapacity hearings and represents clients at CCMA and Bargaining Council.
