Elgin Engineering is an engineering facility situated in Durban, South Africa, and serving both local and international markets.

Zungu-Elgin is ideally equipped to offer its full range of manufacturing facilities to local and international markets, with 25000 m 2 of workshop under one roof, serviced by overhead cranes with a maximum combined lifting capacity of 50 tons. Zungu-Elgin's facilities include areas for material preparation, fabrication, welding, medium to heavy machining, CNC drilling and machining, dished end forming, heat treatment, industrial painting and a foundry capable of casting sugar roll shells up to 20 tons in weight. The manufacturing expertise is backed up with in-house front-end design and drawing, planning and quality systems that are all computerised using state of the art CAD software programmes. Specialists include engineers and time-served artisans (boiler makers, coded welders, turners, fitters, foundry craftsmen, furnace operators, heat treatment technicians, blasters and painters, quality control inspectors). We are an international company with a presence throughout Africa. Our employees comprise mainly previously disadvantaged individuals. Particular emphasis has been placed on development of managerial skills to equip staff and mould them to become future leaders in our industry.
