Established in 1984 by David van den Berg, ElectroMechanica is a specialised direct importer and wholesale distributor of high end industrial electrical products, motor control switchgear and electronic automation products. We are a wholly owned South African company, offering our clients state-of-the-art products, sourced from leading local and international brands, all of which comply fully with recognised international safety standards and performance specifications. With branches in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town as well as an effective distribution system throughout the country, we are able to accommodate clients across Southern Africa. From humble beginnings in a small converted house in Lakeview, Booysens, David van den Berg had a vision to deliver high quality products to the Southern African market. With just one assistant, he launched ElectroMechanica with the introduction of the Lovato and Finder Brands. It was a success, demand began to grow and along with it, the company as well as our range of products and brands expanded. We were also able to establish Electrodev, a subsidiary dedicated to the local design, development and manufacture of products for our lines. With the overwhelming support of our loyal client base we expanded operations, opening branches in both KZN and Cape Town. Over the years we have continued to introduce new products, even prompting change and development in local sectors and industries. With a bigger warehouse, better dispatch department, larger sales and showroom facilities, a 75-seater auditorium and an entertainment area; the move that has helped us entrench our name as a market leader. Today, we are among the top five distributors worldwide of Lovato and Finder, in addition to representing over 40 leading brands from across the world. We remain passionate about customer service, keeping our promise to always put our clients first, and to provide them with only the highest quality products and brands. With over three decades of experience as the founder and owner of ElectroMechanica, David van den Berg has grown the company from strength to strength. He is dedicated to staying at the forefront of the industry and believes in only sourcing products that meet the highest quality, reliability, safety and performance standards. He personally visits suppliers, international events and exhibitions throughout the world to ensure that we are always up to date with the latest products and technology available.
