We are the leading national cricket, roach, mealworm and superworm breeding centre in South Africa and have been operating for over twenty years, so we really know our business inside out. We always focus on the highest quality at the best price and our quality outshines all others! We pack to the absolute maximum to give you the very best value for money purchase. So, while the travel tub is perfect to get your crickets to you safely, as well as compact enough to keep courier costs low, it is not ideal for longer term holding of your crickets. Just like you wouldn’t buy a goldfish and leave it in the little bag, don’t do it to your crickets. When keeping large numbers together, preferably place them in a thick layer of bran and stack the egg boxes to increase the usable surface area as the worms like their own crawling space. When keeping large numbers together, preferably stack several layers of egg boxes to increase the crawling area. We truly love and are dedicated to what we do and it shows in every aspect of our operation. We continually focus on research and development and improved infrastructure to move forward positively. We vent the lids on the larger crickets (3/4 and Adult), and on all superworms and roaches which creates a gentle cross ventilation, which we refer to as G-Vortex ventilation, to keep them fresh, dry and condensation free, especially in summer! Feet are attached to all tubs with vented lids so they can be stacked, both in transit and thereafter, so save space without compromising air flow. The egg boxes packaged in the tubs are securely placed so they don't slop around injuring your insects in transit. We date stamp our tubs so you know exactly when they were packed and dispatched. Date-Stamp Moisture and dry food is included in every tub to keep the insects fed and hydrated in transit. We also make the journey as safe as possible for the little insects and crush their pellets so the rolling action in transit cannot damage them. All superworms have bran as bedding and burrowing space. Because our tubs are specifically designed for travel, they are strong, secure, compact and professional, promoting strong customer confidence in our products. There are separate moist and dry feed flaps to keep feed separate and prevent mould developing. There is no chance of escapees up the edges between the side flaps and the top flaps when the box is open as everything fits securely and the mesh is secured directly to the box with non toxic glue. There is massive cross ventilation which is ideal, especially in summer to prevent sweating and overheating, especially in very hot areas.
