Richard Hertz General Manager Richard Hertz has been in the construction industry since 1981 and studied Civil Engineering at the then Technikon Witwatersrand. He has been involved in projects of both a civil engineering and building nature; bridges, roads, dams, shopping centres, commercial buildings, industrial buildings and high-rise residential. Key Projects became Key Developments and several developments were successfully concluded in Durban. He quickly learned the ropes with exposure to everything from low cost housing to large scale projects. In 1983 he founded C&R, sheer guts and determination got C&R under way in a very competitive industry. He has been the director of several other companies engaged in differing industries from property development to solar and wind energy. His entrepreneurial prowess and leadership qualities has made him a sought after speaker at business forums and international conventions. Wesley Naidoo Contracts Manager Wesley Naidoo holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and he has worked extensively in the civil engineering construction sector. He began his career in a civil engineering contracting company and he then progressed to project management with the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry. The next project he worked on was the Pavilion Phase 5 Extension in Joint Venture with a major SA construction company as a Contracts Manager with C&R. Wesley has successfully completed several building contracts in the greater Durban region and he has good experience in both the civil engineering and building sectors. Vic Naidoo Contracts Manager Vic has an accounting background and his formative business experience was in the manufacturing sector after which he joined Stevenson Construction (which became part of Group Five). He joined C&R in 2000 and over the years he was promoted to Contracts Manager where he has successfully managed numerous building projects to completion, ensuring that work was completed on time, within budget and to a high standard of finish. He is a former President of the KwaZulu Master Builders’ Association and he is still an Executive at the Master Builders’ Association of South Africa as well as the Chairman of the Security Forum in Westville. Anthony has the benefit of being a manager with more than a couple of decades of hands-on experience in the building industry and he is a valuable asset to any project team that he is a part of. He has successfully completed well over 100 projects. He joined C&R in 2002 and today oversees all financial and administrative matters.
